Other DAO Voting Proposals
BIP-34: Increase FH #3 to 10
At the request of several DAO members, a proposal was submitted by Palomato to increase the number of funded projects from five to ten. Currently the nays lead with 340 votes to 162 yay votes. There are two days left on the proposal — though the funding round ends before then. Link
BIP-33: Lordship Protocol Phase 1
Another proposal from Palomato, this time to lay out a revised Realms NFT contract that promises to provide better distribution of $LORDS, inexpensive onchain voting, and a more effective vote delegation system. The proposal has a lot of nuance and should be read in full for DAO members.
So far, the vote has been unanimous and is likely to pass. Link
Preparation for Realms L3:
The core team continue to release information related to the upcoming L3 Mainnet launch. The game chain will be built using Cairo VM with infrastructure support from Dojo. It promises to feature low transaction costs with $LORDS, high throughput, and high security with recursive proofs rolling up to Starknet.
The L3 is expected to go live in the third quarter of this year with several high profile games anticipated to be released at the same time. You can catch a teaser of some of these games and more here:
Dojo Game Jam #4 - Prizes and Recognition as an Onchain GOAT
Dojo wrapped up Game Jam #4 last week and the winner list featured plenty of Realm’s projects.
For the main prize of 10k USD, the zKorp team took first place with their game zKlash. We’ve described zKlash in prior Herald reports but if you haven’t read them, the game was covered briefly in our last weekly edition here. The zKorp team also won an award for the best game built with Unity.
In second place for the main award of 7k USD was Blob Arena by Grug’s Lair. Blob Arena is a one-on-one Blobert tactical game where players can wager and win NFT tokens. In addition to this second place finish the Grug team took home first prize for the Blobert Track ($3k USD), the “Road to Mainnet” Track (2.5k $STRK), and the “Hidden Information” Track ($500 USD).
You can also test it out here.
Finally, the third place game for the main track was an AI-driven storytelling adventure game called Tale Weaver. Though not funded by the DAO, Tale Weaver team members have been present in the community Discord and opted to integrate Blobert into their game world.
Other Dojo Game Jam winners include the following:
Dodgeballer by solo developer Satyambnsal
Blobbar by Zack Ames
Amneszia by Val_doimont and tek_kac
Blobert Puzzle by longtime Realms contributor and Loot Survivor Champion Await and Yash Mittal.
Congrats to all the winners! We look forward to playtesting all of these games as soon as they’re available.
Project Updates
There isn’t much to report on outside of the Dojo game submissions above. Many of the Realms gaming studios submitted new games or have applied for new funding via the L3 round. Nevertheless, a few projects did report substantial updates.
Mississippi
The Team continues to work on its frontend client and design work. They’ve added several new assets that are viewable below. They’ve also started simulation training to fine tune gameplay.
Underware
Underware is in the process of preparing their games for L3 launch. They are targeting Pistols at Ten Blocks for their first fully playable game but both Underworld and UnderDark are also being worked on.
Whisper Guard
The primary artist for Whisperguard is currently doing sketches for chapter 1 of the Whisper Guard. You can see some of their sketches below.
That’s it for now. Thank you for reading and see you next week!
