Frontinus House Recap
Many of the twenty projects funded by BiblioDAO have made notable advancements, with several teams gearing up for Testnet launches in January or February. Below is an overview highlighting some of their progress:
Arcane Assembler: Currently, the Arcane Assembler Team is working on a score visualizer and expanding its contract functionality. The team has finished integrating their Familiars game mechanic into Dojo and has finalized game design and Cairo implementation.
Call the Banners: Call the Banners has been developing the UI for their Starknet integration with simplified gameplay and a chat interface. The team believes it’ll hit the MVP milestone before the end of the year.
Crypts and Caverns for Loot Survivor: CheDAOLabs has launched its Testnet integration with Loot Survivor. They are currently focused on enhancing their map equipment drop functionality, eliminating bugs, and implementing contract verification plus other improvements to bolster game functionality. You can playtest it here.
GenLoot: The GenLoot team just completed its artistic assets. However, progress has been hampered as the team needed to restart work on ZKML due to technical issues. Despite these challenges, 20% of the contract and 30% of front-end development have been completed. The team remains committed to its roadmap and is adjusting its plan dynamically, ensuring that it continues to make orderly progress towards its milestones.
Loot Underworld: Loot Underworld is focused on asset creation and game mechanics refinement for Underdark. The project has made strides in design and conceptual work, with the art and R&D teams continuing their efforts. They're also preparing for the third dojo game jam and are in the process of building a new game called Pistols at 10 Blocks. They report that continued iterations on Underworld and newer initiatives may extend the timeline for delivery of the full experience. Check out this link for the Underworld environment demo.
Loot Herald: The Loot Herald has been busy making content, having published five long-form articles and holding two Loot Town Square events. Their current work involves expanding their offerings to a weekly newsletter focused on Frontinus House grant recipients’ progress (you’re reading it!).
Loot Royale: Blade Games has added game features like aerial and ranged attacks and is currently rewriting its game logic in Cairo. This has slightly delayed hitting project milestones. They are inviting feedback on their frontend from interested and knowledgeable DAO members.
Mississippi: Mississippi team members are currently fine-tuning the battle module and developing its official website. They've also hosted playtests to refine the game. The project continues to work towards its goals, with UI improvements showcased in a recent trailer.
OverLore: The team is researching generative agents and reworking its project architecture. Despite significant structural changes, no milestones have been reached yet. The project aims to use Realms world events to enrich user interactions.
Rising Revenant: The RR team is currently adding critical gameplay features and iterating on the game user interface in preparation for Testnet launch. They plan to have a pre-alpha feedback phase ready for DAO members by mid-January.
Risk of Realms: The zConqueror team is actively working on integrating a multiplayer mechanism involving Arcade Accounts. Their efforts are centered around creating a seamless and interactive multiplayer experience that appeals to a broad user base.
Whisper Guard: The creative team is focused on finalizing art details and direction. They have successfully hired an artist and their ongoing efforts are directed towards bringing the graphic novel's visual elements to life. Here is a sneak peek of concept art:
Biblio Improvement Proposals
We’ll be monitoring open BIPs here. Click on any proposal title to explore further details and cast your vote.
BIP-25: Adjustment of Staking Rewards Vesting Schedule - a revision to BIP-23 to release all accrued $LORDS to members’ accounts in mid-January instead of over the previously planned half-year period and a revision to the staking program so that future earned LORDS are claimable after each epoch. Check here for the announcement.
BIP-27: Ratification of Accounts for BibliothecaDAO pt II - BIP 27 for further development of the financial framework established in BIP-24, detailing the allocation of $LORDS across accounts like AMM Fees, Core Team Vest, Development, and others as per BIP-16's standards. It emphasizes the transparent management of the Core Team Vest account, used for development work, hackathons, and administrative tasks, with a notable partnership with OnlyDust for bounties and grants. The proposal also outlines the setup of multisig wallets for fund management across these accounts.
Loot Survivor Meta
As of this writing, over 1,100 players across more than 2,000 games have fought and met their end in Loot Survivor. The number of new players peaked on November 28 with just under 100 new accounts and has trended lower but stable with approximately 20 new players daily.
As for the leaderboard, this week we saw several shakeups in the Top 10. After weeks of being the supreme survivor, Krump was emphatically dethroned by Await. Currently, these two titans hold seven of the top ten positions.
In another surprising turn, Sven, a mainstay on the leaderboard, lost the second spot to rising contender, aa. Besides these four, only ROCKS remains in the Top 10 after Odi was ousted this week.
Think you’ve got what it takes to become the ultimate survivor? Take your shot and join the fray here.
