Banners Announces Sold-Out Pixel Banners Release, Marking an Onchain Identifier for Starknet Users
Success of Pixel Banners sale demonstrates the growing influence of collaborative efforts in a multi-player media empire
Saturday, March 30th - Banners today announced that its latest offering, Pixel Banners, has completely sold out, setting a new precedent in the onchain art world. This innovative collection, comprising 9,337 Pixel Banner NFTs, was eagerly claimed by the community across three distinct Mint Phase windows. The weight of the 1,200 unique traits contributed by over 40 enthusiastic community members required the deployment of two smart contracts to accommodate.
Coordinated with the dedication of Caygeon and developed with the technical expertise of TheSkyvalkeR, the project was able to overcome several obstacles which resulted in delays. The extra time awarded the team to address crucial aspects of minting functions with Vercel and dual wallet connection that were not showing up in testing. The team's commitment to Perfection and community satisfaction has indeed paid off, with a flawless mint process that has captivated NFT collectors, Starknet community, and onchain gaming aficionados alike with a raise of 25,000 $LORDS, 50% of which will be shared amongst the contributing pixel artists.
Pixel Banners were free to mint from allow-listed wallet addresses. Still, the project earned a LORDS bounty from minters choosing to lock specific traits by paying 16 $LORDS and using the reroll mechanic to find an NFT more suitable to their liking.
Pixel Banners are not just digital artefacts; they represent the pioneering spirit of collaborative creation within the blockchain space. The enthusiastic contribution of traits by the community members showcases a remarkable example of collective creativity and innovation. With this project, Banners has not only provided a new outlet for artistic expression but also strengthened the bond within its community.
The sale of Pixel Banners has been a monumental success, highlighting the potential of gamification and the novelty of minting NFTs within the industry. As Banners continues to push the boundaries of what's possible onchain, with their soon-to-be-launched game, Call the Banners OnChain, it remains committed to offering unique and engaging experiences for its community with the reroll mechanic and accompanying animation present in the Pixel Banners mint.
Caygeon, the founder and head chair behind the Banners, said, "We’ve been building in the space for a long time and really owe it to Realms, for continuing to build out this universe for us to play in. And to the 1337 Skulls, who we have modelled the Pixel Banners community after.”
TheSkyvalkeR, the lead developer of Banners and the Pixel Banners launch, remarked, "Combined with the beautiful traits from by our artists, the unique mint mechanics proved to be a hit with a lot of trait-locking and rerolling as people strived to get their ideal combinations.
